Hot Stuff

Back in the day....WAY back in the day, i use to collect Casper comics. I feel i can admit that... now:0) I always thought that Hot Stuff was a cool character, but never liked the fact that he was a baby devil.

After getting some ideas from a comic book store, making him older seemed to be the right direction. Putting some pants and a shirt on him, make him look a little devious, and toss in some cool mood lighting seemed a little better then to have him running around in saggy diapers.

Who didnt love the crazy yelling, hair-raising scream of Captain Caveman?! I loved to scream along with him when I use to watch his cartoon as a kid.

In drawing him, I wanted to depict him in a way so that you could almost hear his belowing roar just by looking at him. Hair on end, limbs fully extended and him screaming his ass off....Classic Captain!

TMNT

For the longest time, iv'e wanted to create my own version of the ninja turtle 'Raphael', because we share the same name. When I told a buddy of mine, Jason Quinones, about it, he suggested i do all of the turtles. I was hesitant at first, but then thought...'what the hell!'

I wanted them all to be geared up ready for a fight. I put a bolder thick outline to make each one stand out. Didnt like how the old school turtles had drabby colors, so decided to kick it up a notch. Enjoy!

Been quite a while since last i posted anything. My bad. With that said, I thought that I would start off strong with Captain America!

Come to the dark side

A couple of months ago, I was contacted by Josh Frost to do rendition of Darth Vader for a book he's composing of other artists and their take on the dark jedi master. I'm very excited for not only the book, but to see all the other versions of him! Not too sure when it's coming out, but will keep you posted.

I've always wanted to do my own version of Vader and not too sure why i never did before. This time i had incentive. I basically wanted to do a cartoonie style, but still looking as if he wouldn't think twice about kicking some ass if you crossed him. Had to give some love to the baddest badass in the galaxy!

The Mighty Thor

Don't really know to much about Thor's background, but was checking some other blogs out and saw quite a few versions of this norse god.  I got inspired and thought i'd do my own spin on the Thunder god of Asgard.

Taking some time off from being the leader of the X-men, Scott aka Cyclops decides to blow off some steam by laying waste to the defensive system in the danger room and turning its weapons into shrapnel and twisted metal! The power is in the eye of the beholder.

Hong Kong Phoo-ey!!

Haven't posted anything in quite some time (my bad) so i thought i'd kick things off with a blast from the past. Saw this one the other day and wanted to put my own spin on him. An all around super guy whose always there for the little guy when he needs help. Also, not so busy that he can't have a bite to eat and kick some ass at the same time!

Astro Boy

Never saw the cartoon back in the day, but was so inspired by the trailer, that i had to do my own version... minus the short shorts. That always bothered me.

Gambit

A few weeks ago, a buddy of mine at work showed me the trailer for the new Wolverine movie. Not only did it look sweet, but it also had one of my favorite characters previewed in it...Gambit!

Mega Man

A couple of weeks ago, I went to visit my parents house to gather some old sentimental things and what not. Amongst the junk, i found my old school nintendo. I was so happy and even more excited to find one of my favorite nintendo games...Mega Man! Busting Dr.Wiley's robots through all their wild and crazy worlds was hours of fun! Had to give some love the MM.

When i was little, every Saturday morning like clock-work, I would run downstairs, cookies and milk in hand would be glued to the tv for my morning cartoons for hours. Never realized how many cookies i destroyed laughing and reenacting my favorite cartoons. Shaggy and Scoob seemed to know how to polish off a couple of boxes of tasty treats. My idols. 

A Pan's Adventure

Mischievous little imp. Going through some old Disney movies and thought I'd take a stab at this fun loving character. Wanted to show him taunting his enemies all the while having fun with his fairy friend 'Tinkerbell."

Joker's Wild

Was watching 'Batman' the other day and it was an episode featuring Harley Quinn. A silly wild child who is always up for a few yucks. I got inspired and Voi'la!

Powerhouse!

A buddy of mine at work suggested we do something real simple in between all of these characters we've been doing. Hesitant to do it at first, but felt as though it came out pretty good.

Spent the longest time trying to figure out a good pose for these two that I haven't seen before and came up with nothing!! As soon as I thought of them as kids...it just came to me!

Had to give it up to one the baddest Mo-Fo jedis out there. Inspired by the 'Clone Wars' with a little tweek. Yeah, yeah I know he don't have 2 light sabers, but what the hell!

Soul Sucker

My first attempt at something dark and sinister. From the video game Soul Caliber for the PS2. Kinda cheated and didn't create his whole body, but pleased at the result.
